How to Style a Console Table Like a Pro (Even in Small Spaces!)

Tip: Keep the mirror size proportional to your console. Ideally, it should be about two-thirds the width of your table.




2. Add Lighting — Sconces or a Table Lamp 💡



Lighting makes everything look elevated. Wall sconces are perfect if you want symmetry and a polished look — plus they add that soft ambient glow that feels cozy at night.

3. Play With Height — Use Tall Skinny Stems 🌿

The vase I used here is a soft neutral tone that blends perfectly with the console. You can use faux or real branches depending on the season — olive stems, cherry blossoms, or eucalyptus all look stunning.


Pro tip: Odd numbers usually look better — one tall vase + one smaller decorative piece on the other side creates harmony without being too “matchy-matchy.”


4. Ground the Look — Add Poufs or Baskets Below 🧺



Don’t forget about the space underneath your console! It’s the perfect spot to add texture and function.

The key to a high-end look is layering thoughtfully. Add books for balance (stack two or three), then top them with a small object like a candle, sculpture, or bowl.


Keep your color palette simple — neutrals, beige, wood, and black always photograph beautifully and give that minimalist-organic feel that’s trending everywhere right now.


When in doubt, step back and ask yourself: Does this look calm and intentional? If yes, you nailed it.



6. Keep It Minimalist (But Warm)
